Notifications are not arriving
Check that notifications for Incaelo are allowed in Android settings and that the notification is turned on under Settings › Reminders in the app. Some manufacturers restrict background work heavily to save battery; if notifications do not arrive, let Incaelo run without battery restrictions in your phone’s settings.
Why is the notification time approximate?
Android batches background work to save battery, so a notification may arrive a few minutes after the time you chose. Incaelo deliberately does not use exact alarms.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Sky positions, the map and the catalogue are computed on the phone. Only the forecast needs a connection; offline, the app uses the last one it downloaded and tells you it is not recent.
I do not want to share my location
You do not have to. You can pick the site by searching for it by name or placing it on the map.
How do I delete my data?
Everything is stored on your phone. You can delete sites in the app, clear Incaelo’s data in Android Settings › Apps, or uninstall it. There is no account to delete.
What is red mode for?
Red light barely affects your eyes’ adaptation to the dark. In red mode the whole app is drawn in red on black, and “Screen light” drops brightness to the system minimum.
